A sequel to the 2015 film, Minions, and spin-off/prequel to the main Despicable Me film series it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Everyone loves Minions. Your kids think they're hilarious. You see memes about them on your social media sites. It's hard not to find their silliness endearing. This movie continues to explore the backstory of how they teamed up with the villain-turned-nice-guy Gru. Everyone, say, "Banana!"

The Jungle Cruise

Ever been on Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise ride? This movie will take you right back to it but with a little twist. Based on Disneyland's theme park ride where a small riverboat takes a group of travellers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles, it stars Emily Blunt and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as they channel their best The African Queen looks and head out on the water for a 1930s-set adventure but with a supernatural element.

Sam Rockwell and Angelina Jolie provide the voices of the mall-dwelling animals.

Do you read this book to your child as part of your nighttime routine? It was one of my favourites and I’m supremely excited to see it on the big screen. Based on Norman Bridwell's series of children's books of the same name, this isn't going to be your typical animated Clifford. The new version of the Big Red Dog is going to be a live-action/CG hybrid. Watch out for giant pups!
