With my first born I captured every moment on my phone camera and when I looked back I always thought these were special moments I wish I could capture them better. I bought a professional camera and yes ofcourse the quality of pictures got much better. While I was always on the lookout for a professional kids photographer to capture those precious moments I actually came across many but each photographer has his own style. I was looking for someone who would do natural light photography. As parents we get so caught up in all the props that go with our kids that we miss what just natural light can do. UurmiMehul photography needs no introduction and they have earlier shared tips on capturing kids pictures here with us and they were our first choice to capture the childhood of our kids.
I would like to introduce them as warm, talented & a perfect couple. If you are wondering why I mention a perfect couple its only because when you work with photographers or a team its the people that matter and its so important for them to be in sync with your expectations. Ofcourse the results of our photoshoot were fantastic and the husband and I had a tough time selecting the best ones but here is how the process works.
1. Pick a date, day & location
2. Knowing the child. They check for age, interests, likes, dislikes of a child over an email or call
3. They carry most basic and minimalist props and request you to carry your childs favourite things. We carried our favourite Micro Scooter ( Read the review here) and Pinkalicious books(read review here)
4. They arrive before time so if you are ready with the kids when you reach the venue( i.e. they are well fed & rested) then all you need to do is begin. Really appreciate that UurmiMehul 🙂

I absolutely love the ease they bring in while shooting with kids which helps calm down anxious parents tremendously. Got to admit I was anxious. Just managing best moods of a 9 month old and 4.5 year old is tough after all!!!
What we love:Â
1. The natural light that they capture the images making it look picture perfect
2. The effects post shoot( minimal photoshop done)
3. Timeliness. We had our picture selection as promised within a week and CD delivered within 10 days of shoot
4. Dealing with kids. Being parents themselves they are aware that kids can be moody and actually capture their not so nice moods also quite well
5. The reflection of the natural light on baby skin and the translucency it creates. Its magic!!!
6. Emotions overrule all the poses. They capture some candid moments that will be special and make its way to selection. Here is what I mean
