I’m pretty sure you all are aware of the various default settings in mobiles and laptops. Similarly, there are some age-old default setting in society and family called, “Moms-can-be-disturbed-anytime”, “Only-moms-should-be-asked-for-things” and “Moms-should-know-it-all”. Sounds very familiar doesn’t it? Shefali Shah would agree!
Why Should Moms Be Responsible For Everything?
Like I said, it’s a default setting since generations. Well, the family depends on us, we get it… But if we are busy with our own work, can’t the simplest of tasks be done by the dads or the other family members? We often are the ones who have the keep the smallest of tasks in our minds and take care of everyone else’s smallest of tasks too. Sometimes, that’s fine, but when we are working? Nah-huh!
It is high-time everyone realizes, that our work is as important and jam-packed as the dads. Just because we always pick up our calls doesn’t mean we can get called for the tiniest of questions. Emergency- understood, but for unimportant inquires? Not anymore.
