We’ve already seen the first kids movie of the year draw in huge numbers to the cinemas. Lego is probably that one play essential that all parents invest in and rightly so. The movie was extremely enjoyable and exceeded our expectations. Let’s take a look at the list of top kids movies to watch out for this year. Ofcourse these are international release dates and we will keep you posted on the release dates.
The Lego Movie
The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
The Nut Job
The Nut Job is an action-packed comedy in fictional Oakton that follows the travails of Surly (voiced by Will Arnett), a mischievous squirrel, and his rat friend Buddy, who plan a nut store heist of outrageous proportions and unwittingly find themselves embroiled in a much more complicated and hilarious adventure
Mr Peabody and Sherman
Mr. Peabody, the most accomplished dog in the world, and his mischievous boy Sherman, use their time machine – The Wabac – to go on the most outrageous adventures known to man or dog. But when Sherman takes The Wabac out for a joyride to impress his friend Penny, they accidently rip a hole in the universe, wreaking havoc on the most important events in world history.
Rio 2
Rich with grandeur, character, color and music, RIO 2 finds Jewel (Anne Hathaway), Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) and their three kids leaving their domesticated life in that magical city for a journey to the Amazon. They encounter a menagerie of characters who are born to be wild
The Legend of Oz: Dorothys Return
Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return is a 3D-animated musical based on the adventure books by Roger S. Baum, the great-grandson of L. Frank Baum. A continuation of one of the world’s most popular and beloved fairy tales, Legends of Oz finds Dorothy waking to post-tornado Kansas, only to be whisked back to Oz to try to save her old friends the Scarecrow, the Lion, the Tin Man and Glinda from a devious new villain, the Jester
Boxtrolls
Boxtrolls are monsters who live underneath the charming streets of Cheesebridge, who crawl out of the sewers at night to steal what the townspeople hold most dear: their children and their cheeses
Planes: Fire and Rescue
The Cars world expands to the sky in this second feature revolving around Planes, this time focusing on a Fire and Rescue unit.
Dolphin Tale 2
The sequel to the 2011 film based on a true story of a boy’s efforts to save an injured dolphin. Releasing 19th September 2014
The amazing spiderman 2
This man needs no introduction. Coming on May 2nd, 2014
