Jeepers creeepers! Halloween is this weekend and if you have been completely overwhelmed by festivals one after another and have not had time to think about your Halloween costume for this weekend, fret not. We have got you covered. We bring you 12 costumes that you can whip up in a few minutes that will tide you over for this Halloween.
1. Scary Mummy Asleep for Thousands of Years:
Sacrifice an old white sheet for this noble cause. Cut it up into thick and thin strips. then fill a sink full with (used) tea bags. Sit back and enjoy the tea while your costume gets that worn out mummy look. On the big day wrap yourself and style your hair and you will be the scariest mummy in town literally and figuratively!
2. Scarecrow Too Cute to Do His Job:
Your child needs a costume stat? Grab a pair of old denim overalls, cut up a few plaid patches and stick them on strategically. Then make a tattered hat from a burlap sack and stick a few patches on it as well. Complete the look with a plaid shirt and roll up sleeves. You can add to the cuteness factor with some makeup for the nose.
There’s no fussing with masks or itchy wigs. All you need is a backpack for this one and maybe some smarts to make the antennae.
4. Boo-tiful Ghost Halloween Costume
An oversize sweatshirt, some white tulle and ribbon make a simple (and spooky!) no-sew ghost costume for mommy or baby. Mommy can up the scary quotient by adding on some spooky makeup.
5. A Stitch in Time Saves…Needle and Thread
Ultra simple to make this. Just find the perfect lampshade and spool some thread on.
6. Is that a Lady Or a Bug?
Have a red apron, top, smock? Stick black dots on it, add black wire on a red headband and you are now a lady…bug!
Ahhh… emojis. Those little icons are still all the rage and, as large masks, can be a perfect last-minute costume pick for anyone, from parents to older kids. Easy to make and lots of fun to take along to trick or treat! Just wear your emotion!
Anyone can go as Peter Pan. Since it is Halloween why not shake things up by dressing up as his mischievous doppelgänger! Black tights, cut up an oversize black sweatshirt to give it a mangled look and pair with black inners and a belt. The hardest part about this cool costume is the hat.
9. Breakfast Partners: Bacon & Egg
This is a cool costume pairing for brothers and sisters. What goes better together than bacon and eggs? Super simple, maybe just as easy to make as bacon and eggs!
10. Make Your Own Hideous Monster!
It doesn’t get simpler than this! All you need are two Ping-Pong balls and an old, baggy sweater. Pull it over your head and transform instantly into a hideous monster. Go creative on this one!
11. Colour me Any Colour!
Moms, have an old shift dress? Why not stick on some black tape, and add the name of the colour! Added points if you can make a crayon tip for your head!
12. Mom and Child Halloween Costume: Milk and Cookies
