Conversation Starter Of The Week

Raising a reader is not something we can do overnight. With just one tip or advice that we pass on to the kids, it doesn’t happen. Atleast in most cases. It is a process that needs to built into our daily lives and requires the parent to try different things with the kids that help raise young readers.

In most of our IG Lives or interviews with authors, we are often asked a question- “My child is not a reader. Will it impact their future?” Though we don’t prefer saying that not reading will “impact” them, but being a reader definitely comes with its host of benefits.

Right from building conffidnce to improving vocabulary and giving a morale boost to the child, there is a lot that reading can do to your kids.

With WEF Reports suggesting that 65% of children entering primary school today will end up working in completely new job types in the future, the Q arises as
to:

  • How we are preparing them for the same?
  • What are the differentiating skills they will need to have to stand
    out from the rest?
  • The bigger Q is how to raise a reader?
  • How to make sure we integrate reading into their daily lifestyle?

Find out in this interesting video we rcently put up on our Instagram. Helps us understand why reading is so important as a lifeskill for our kids.
