EXCLUSIVE Review: Wax Museum in Lonavala

But yes with so many people waxed at Tussauds the most recent being Steve Jobs, who according to me should have been waxed a while ago, but that’s another conversation why should India not have a desi version. If someone told me this I would probably be like ya really! Are you sure? But yes with so many people waxed at Tussauds the most recent being Steve Jobs, who according to me should have been waxed a while ago, but that’s another conversation why should India not have a desi version.

Sunil Kandalloor, the man behind the celebrity Wax Museum in Lonavala with its celebrities in plenty, started this for all those who cannot afford a visit abroad to watch the Madam Tussaud Museum in London. So we chanced on this rare site on our last visit to Lonavala with kids. Looking for something new on our visit this time we heard of this Celebrity Wax Museum.

Set in a pleasant environment that’s very typical of Lonavala are iconic people that would appeal to children 4 years and above. It lacks the typical Bollywood flavor that appeals to most kids today and that is one of the reasons maybe why this place is not so popular with parents. Celebrities include Mother Teresa, Gandhiji, Pt. Nehru, Ambedkar, Charlie Chaplin, Rehman, Sri Sri Ravishankar and many more.

I will let the pictures here do the talking but think it’s a must visit on your next trip. Even if your children don’t know who the celebrities are I think seeing them waxed is a different experience.
