Your guide to healthy and happy teeth for your child:

  • Children’s teeth are more prone to decay because of their form and food habits. This can be taken care of by flouride application and pit and fissure sealants.
  • It is imperative to maintain milk teeth as they act as natural space retainers and play an important role in the eruption of the permanent teeth.
  • Avoid sweet and sticky foods such as cakes, biscuits, candy, aerated drinks and chocolates.
  • Brush twice a day and gargle your mouth after every meal.
  • Get an annual dental check-up for your child.
  • Children often exhibit habits such as thumb sucking, nail biting and mouth breathing. These can be effectively corrected with the help of habit breaking appliances.
