If you're not sure what's the right diaper size for your baby, then you need to read on. Since babies come in different shapes and sizes, so should diapers right? Buying diapers only to discover that you've bought the wrong size for your child can be frustrating. It happens more often than you'd think! So how do you know the right diaper sizes to buy?

So diapers are categorized as per weight. The higher the weight of your baby, the bigger will be the size you would need to buy for your little one. These are normally standard for all brands in India.

There are larger sizes available in the market depending on your babies weight.

So the next question that always played on my mind was – is this diaper the right size or is it getting too snug?

  • Frequent leaks or blowouts – if the diaper is too small then your little one is constantly leaking through diapers or having blowouts. Time to trade up. 
  • Put your finger between the diaper and your baby's leg and then lift the diaper slightly, The elastic should not be too tight.
  • The top of the diaper where the fasteners meet should be about two inches below your baby's belly button — if the distance seems more that means the diaper is small.
  • The diaper shouldn't be so snug that it leaves red marks on the skin. You should be able to get a finger in the waistband without a struggle.
