Christmas is right around the corner. With it comes to the excitement of Christmas carols, parties, cookies, and a lot of magic for kids. For mom’s however, there can be a LOT of anxiety that surrounds the holiday.

No school, vacation planning, get togethers, the list of things to do is endless and overwehelming. But as the glue that keeps the family together and running, we’ve got to get the whole family through this festive season and have loads of fun doing it.

If you are also like me, and you LOVE this season, you can easily overextend yourself with ideas and plans. This holiday season I’m doing things a little differently. This season will be both magical and playful because that’s how I want them to remember this holiday season.

Here’s how I’m doing it:

1. The Perfect Gift:

This year, one thing that tops my list when I am planning the holiday is PLAY. I recently read that 34% of parents admit their family doesn’t play together enough… We need to change that and spend more time with our kids. If you’re looking for ways to bond with your child, I’ve got the perfect gift in mind! Get your kids their favourite LEGO sets and have all the fun assembling it with them.

When I came across these sets by LEGO bricks, I knew it was challenging, but every moment we spent building this would be cherished forever. It’s challenging, it’s fun, it’s stimulating for both – my daughter and I!

The one that I’m really looking forward to on my list to give to my children is the 3 in 1 Sports car set. Right now, there’s up to 50% off on selected sets so what are you waiting for? Get your child their favourite set by clicking here!

2. Decorations

The most fun part of this season is decorations. Shops, Malls and houses are decorated with lights and Christmas significant decorations. This week we decided to have some fun and get creative by doing our own decorations. The decorations are easy and the idea is that kids can help out. They feel involved. Check these out!

3. Stockings

Hanging up stocking and waiting to see what Santa has left for them is something kids look forward to every year. Why not make it extra special this year by getting Christmas stockings with their names on it?! See which places offer you this service and order right away.

4. Hot Chocolate

A winter classic and a sure-fire hit with the kids, Hot chocolates are a must in the winter. But this season give it a healthy twist with a family favourite recipe I’m definitely using this winter- Oatmeal Hot Chocolate Recipe

5. Christmas Tree

Last and definitely not the least is the Christmas tree. The holidays are just incomplete without it but the best part is they make the home feel extra cozy and comfy. This year I added a little green twist to it by making DIY trees from things at home- Check them out!
