A pacifier is something that is in your control and can be a substitute to mother’s breast at times but using it regularly shouldn’t be a thing for nurturing or feeding. If your little one is still fussy after you’ve fed, burped and cuddled etc, you might just want to see if a dummy can satisfy her and calm them down.
In many cases, parents use it in between feeds to keep the baby settled that leads to the baby getting used to it. And a habit as such is not beneficial in the long run. Having said that the habit of a pacifier is easier to break than the thumb habit.
