There is no doubt that the apple is healthy for the apple of your eye. With red juicy apples filling the market, this is the perfect time to eat this fruit. Eating local and seasonal fruits & vegetables is so important. Not only coz they taste better but are healthier too.

Apples are filled with potassium, vitamin C, carbohydrates, fibre and antioxidants. These are all substances that keep our bodies safe and healthy. But biting into an apple may not be something your child enjoys.

So today I have 2 recipes for you that my son loves and on days when he doesn't want plain apple slices, I use apples in different ways for him. I always feel some form of a fruit or vegetable is better than nothing at all. After it's all about making sure they eat a balanced healthy diet. What do you think?
