When I was growing up, my parents indulged me with books because in me, they spotted a child who preferred to read than spend time playing. My dad gifted me a library subscription on one of my birthdays and that meant the world to a nine-year old back then! As all parents know the love for reading starts early. What is Little Bookworms?
An initiative, based out of Chennai, by Divya Daryanani- Little Bookworms is an innovative approach where parents can find a variety of books- pre used (or pre-loved!) and in good condition at nominal prices. Daryanani realised that parents were either content with a small library at home or opting for library memberships. But Little Bookworm allows your child to own the books without burning a hole in your pocket. In addition to gently used books, new books are also made available for parents to choose from and add to their kids’ collections. Parents can choose from a variety of book types – board books, flip-the-flap books, interactive sound books and even encyclopedias for young growing minds. Available in paperback as well as the hardcover format- Little Bookworms has books for kids from 0-10 years. Presently, Little Bookworms customers include parents, libraries and NGOs looking for quality books at reasonable prices.
How to order: All parents need to do is visit Little Bookworms’ Facebook group and choose the book they want. Payment can be made online and the book is shipped soon after. What we love:
