When we welcomed the new one into our family, we were all excited and wanted to get her the best of all products. And when it came to ensuring she had a peaceful sleep at night- we arranged everything from a comfortable baby cot, chimes, toys  and apps that generate white noise. While the quality of the cot and the toys were checked extensively and her feeding bottles were verified to be BPA-free, we hardly did any quality check on the bedding. We ensured they looked colourful and felt soft but that’s it. That’s when a friend recommended Fancy Fluff to us. Fancy Fluff is a Baby Bedding brand made of 210 thread count, 100% cotton satin with an antimicrobial and hypoallergenic filling.

Idea behind Fancy fluff:

When two friends- Kasturi Podar and Hamza Patel- with a background in Textile Designing and Financial Management decided to do something different together in the textile arena, they focused on the baby bedding segment in the Indian market. With expertise in the textile industry, and years of joining their fathers in the textile and retail and distribution fields respectively behind them, they were able to sense what was lacking and how the products available were either too loud, or too subtle or just plain expensive with not much focus on quality. They decided to put together a product that would cater to the overall development of a baby along with providing a comfortable and sound sleep.

USP:

In order to achieve the same, they decided to focus on specific details. Colour is a top priority for parents when choosing baby products, hence the duo focussed on Colour Therapy as they felt colour has the ability to inspire, excite, soothe and even heal new born babies. They focused on cotton bedding for kids which adds comfort to the baby and is easy to wash. They also pay specific attention to hypoallergenic and anti microbial sheets for the new-borns to control dust mites and provide long lasting anti microbial protection. The anti- allergy properties of the product will provide relief and rest to your baby hence promoting sound sleep. The duo also focused on thread count in particular, which they feel holds the key in judging the quality of any bedding. Fancy Fluff uses 210 thread count fabric and has been woven with high quality combed yarn that makes the fabric finer, smoother and stronger than regular carded yarn.

What we would like to see:

1. The brand sees itself venturing into the kids’ textile arena soon and we can’t wait. Cotton and comfortable clothing for kids is something every parent always insists on.
