Being a mom isn’t easy and regaining your career and managing it along with motherhood is even more difficult! Yeah we all know that it’s the world’s most challenging role which we cannot give up. All independent career driven women have to invariably give up their wonder jobs to start changing diapers, feeding, napping their kids when they become moms. And if you are doing both, then even 24 hours seems too little.
But what I admire about some of the new moms and about life itself is just the amount of work options it pose. Little did I know that I would leave a career of over 10 years in  Fashion Retail & Communications and be an entrepreneur. But I know one thing for sure I am not getting back to the corporate rat race. Similarly what I most admire about a lot of Bollywood moms today is how they have reinvented themselves and kept themselves relevant.
No job is big or small and there is no dearth of opportunities if you want to so something. Yes its difficult juggling all of it but what the heck that’s life!!!
Here’s our list of our favourite Bollywood moms who have continued to shine brighter after motherhood.
Ashwariya Rai Bachchan:
She is the world’s most beautiful woman and a mom to Aaradhya. Within less than a year she made a Red carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival showing courage that you stick by your commitments and all the talking doesn’t matter. Lara Dutta
Married to Mahesh Bhupati, the former miss universe also took some time off her career to be a mom. But now since baby Sara is joining playschool, Lara is soon to join work again. Though she does believe that Motherhood steals away all your vanity but the celeb mom was back in no time
Malaika Arora
Doesn’t look Malaika has a 10 year old son Arhaan with husband Arbaaz Khan. She sure knows how to handle kids and work well. She has also diversified or rather extended her fashionista image to her New Venture The CLoset Label
Karishma Kapoor
She’s a successful actress, now a writer, endorses several brands across various platforms and a mother of 2. Karishma strikes the perfect work- life balance and makes it even look easy. Karisma is also an RJ and has written a book  – The Yummy Mummy Guide
Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri is a versatile actress, very successful in her career and a fabulous dancer. This Bollywood diva was back in 2007 after raising her two kids in The United States. Currently Madhuri hosts Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa, endorses a lot of brands, is readying up for her dance academy and makes a lot of red carpet appearances.
Chitrangda Singh
Chitrangada Singh, who is married to golfer Jyoti Randhawa, is among the busiest stars in Bollywood today but she says her six-year-old son Zorawar is still on the top of her priority list and he keeps her calm and level headed in the limelight.

One of the hottest actresses in Bollywood and, one of the hottest moms after the birth of her son Viaan on May 21st, 2012 – Shilpa Shetty is definitely one of our favourite supermoms. Although she has been missing from films for 3 years now, she still has her hands full – what with her IPL team, her other spa, her fitness DVD’s and of course, her baby!
Celina Jaitley
Beauty queen, actor, entrepreneur and writer – Celina Jaitley has everything going for her. Although she didn’t make it big in Bollywood she has a number of endorsements and activism going for her. She is now also a very busy mom – having given birth to twin boys last year in March.
Nandita Das
Multiple award-winning actress and director, Nandita Das is next on our list of Bollywood moms. She had a son Vihaan with industrialist Subodh Maskara. Campaigning for various movements like child survival against AIDS and fighting violence against women, she is a supermom, indeed!
Kiran Rao
She is an actress, director, producer and a script writer. Plus on top of that she is now a mommy to Azad Rao Khan who she loves to carry on set. A successful woman and a loving mother she sure is! Of what we hear from mom s who visit the same school & activity centres Kiran is quite a hands on mom.
Kajol
Kajol, who was last seen in a cameo role Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year, is a mother of two – Nayasa (2003) and Yug (2010). The self-confessed strict mom describes motherhood as ‘fab’ and says that her children have brought out ‘the best in her’. We surely agree to that! What’s also amazing is to see Kajol endorse leading brands and looking better than ever before
Gauri Khan
Wife of superstar Shahrukh Khan, Gauri is also a successful director, producer, interior designer and a mother of three. That really sounds exhausting but she sure has managed all of that with all of her grace. Launching her new company that deals with interiors this mommy has a lot going on.

These moms are fit, fabulous, fashionable and successful in every way, which makes us love them even more. We respect their spirit, courage and ability to manage a fabulous career while still finding the time to be with their kids. Time to take some inspiration from them right!
