A few years ago when we moved to Mumbai and were driving to our new home I noticed my then 3-year-old looking out the window and being rather pensive. After what seemed like an eternity, he turned and asked me, ” Why are there so many people in this city? What can they all be doing in Mumbai?” To explain the bustling metropolis that is Mumbai to a child is no east task. I mean think about it. How do you explain a city like Mumbai to a child? India’s financial capital, home to millions of people and more coming in daily, hub of the world’s most prolific cinema industry, birthplace of the infamous Vada Pav, and the list goes on and on and on. How do we break it down for a child?

Sure you can give them facts and figures but wouldn’t it be great if they could understand through something that was probably written just for them? That’s where Namaste Mumbai comes in.
