When we talk about resilience what are we referring to? Resilience basically refers to the ability to bounce back. Kids are born with this ability. They are actually quite fearless. It is we who teach them about fear. Fear of falling, fear of falling and fear of getting hurt.

Resilient children don’t avoid challenges. They still experience heartbreak, conflict and uncertainty.  What sets resilient children apart from their peers is that they have skills to help them manage anxiety, feel calm and confident instead of stressed, and try again instead of giving up.

Mansi Zaveri of Kidsstoppress loves this quote by Adam Grant. She doesn’t want that for her kids and herself.

The more you value achievement, the more you dread failure”.

Mansi Zaveri had an extremely candid conversation with Samridhi of @mommytimesblog about how her kids are her biggest supporters. And as a family, they have learnt how to be independent, help each other when things get tough. Mansi has no qualms about admitting that if she’s in doubt or down about things, she goes to her kids to put things into perspective. For them, things are either black or white and that helps Mansi make decisions too.
