Educate the kids to help out at home: We all have ‘didis’ at home to do all the work and that has made our kids a little lazy and totally dependent on them. They have to learn to help out around the house and take pride in the fact that it’s their house as much as mom-dads. They should tidy up after they play and do the chores even if there is hired help. It will help shape them as independent and responsible people. Their future spouses will thank you for this!

Minimalism: We all have too much of everything. There are heaps of toys, clothes and food piling up and we don’t normally bother to sit up and actually see. Minimalism isn’t about getting rid of all your stuff and living with barely anything. In a family, minimalism is really a conversation about what’s important. What’s necessary. Why we own things and do things. It should not always be about a brand they want or a restaurant we should visit. We need to enjoy the simple pleasures of life and educate our kids to do the same.
