7 Feel-Good Movies To Watch With Your Family This Weekend

One of the things I love most about watching a film on the big screen is being completely immersed in the experience and for those two hours, the outside world can wait. For our family movie nights, we draw the curtains and turn the lights off, put the volume up a little, leave all phones and devices in another room, make our own popcorn, our favourite munchies or dish up a bowl of ice cream each, and snuggle up on the settee together.

We’re stuck indoors (activity list included just in case you’re looking)and the news outside is, to say the least heartbreaking! I know screen time is wayyyyy up but there might be a time you need to change down the adrenaline and try for some quiet time!

We get it that a film that everybody wants to watch ain’t easy (cue the sibling bickering). We decided to curate a list of movies for you that are ‘Feel Good Movies that will make you smile and forget all the troubles for a bit and could help you narrow it down! Dim the lights, prepare your snacks and enjoy. These are available on various OTTs – Netflix, Amazon Prime & Hotstar. so take your pick!

PS: We have lots more movie recommendations so you can check those out here too!

Bedtime Stories

Hotel handyman Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler) gets an unexpected surprise when he discovers that the tall tales he has been telling his niece and nephew are somehow coming true. Hoping to make the most of the mysterious phenomenon, Skeeter spins one outlandish yarn after another. The fun and adventures that follow are super amazing and is worth a watch

Rise Of The Guardians

Parents need to know that Rise of the Guardians is sort of like The Avengers with childhood icons: Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and the Sandman. There’s lots of action and some mild violence revolving around the menacing bad guy Pitch Black, who turns children’s dreams into nightmares with his cavalry of scary stallions. But definitely recommended!
