"You cannot exercise if you are breastfeeding"
"You never go back to your original size. Now you are a Mumma".
These comments by aunties around me always pissed me off. It drove me away to embrace the journey of motherhood. When I was pregnant, I would check the scale all the time and wonder how much time is it going to take for me to shed it? Will my body be able to change and will I be happy with what I see in the mirror. These comments were daunting and demotivating. I had to find out for myself.
I don't think you take 9 months to lose weight. I don't think breastfeeding makes you lose or gain weight. I am not sure if my body ever returned to "what I was". But I do know, it is all about your dedication towards your body.
