If you are thinking of an alternative to cow’s milk, you must have heard of almond milk. Almond milk is commonly consumed by those who are lactose intolerant or just as a rich, protein substitute to regular milk. Almond milk is creamy and has a nutty taste. With no cholesterol and no lactose, and made from almonds, it is the perfect choice for those choosing to eat healthily, and avoid dairy products, and vegans.

While readily available in the market, KSP shows you just how easy it is to make at home.

Ingredients:
– 15-18 almonds per serving
– Water to soak almonds
– Muslin cloth
– Glass bottle to store
– Blender

Method:
Soak almonds overnight in a cup of water. Add to blender with the water. Make a fine paste. Empty into a muslin cloth and squeeze the milk out of the almond paste. Make sure to squeeze the paste dry to get all the milk out. Store in a clean, glass bottle.

You can add any flavour you like to the almond milk – chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, etc.
