Also, ensure you don't thrust reading as a punishment or a chore for the kids. Just strategically place books in every corner of the room so they automatically pick one. Here's how you can do your bit with the kids.
- Grab these days to spend some extra minutes reading with your child.
- Remember the book doesn't end on the last page. Engage with them on what they learnt along the journey
- Offer them a balanced diet of genres. Fantasy, fiction, mythology, science, autobiographies, comics- introduce them all.
- But most importantly, be patient.
