This new organic collection of baby wear is cheeky and cute! Launching via their own website, Zeezeezoo is a small organic collection of bodysuits, tees, blankets, bibs and gift sets for babies.
Zeezeezoo breathes new life into the Indian baby scene, with a vibrant aesthetic, fun appeal and an undeniable Indian-ness.  The quirky and light hearted collection features designs conceptualised especially for today’s Indian parents by Zeezeezoo’s founders and then brought to life with illustrations by artist extraordinaire, Alicia Souza, known for her work with Tinkle, Chumbak, and Time Out, amongst many others.
What sets Zeezeezoo apart:
100% Organic Cotton. Sourcing and production in India makes sense, with India producing two-thirds of the world’s organic cotton. Choosing organic wasn’t too difficult, says Co-founder Ashini – as the benefits are tremendous, to the consumer, the environment, and cotton-pickers.
100% Indian inspired. With such a unique inspiration pool, they were excited to create an emotional connect with today’s parents by capturing the fun and whimsy of Indian life, past and present. “There are so many things that form our spheres of influence as Indian parents… bollywood and cricket are just the beginning”, says Ashini Shah
The inspiration for the brand?
As a new mum living in London, having spent most of her childhood in the States with many trips to India growing up – Ashini wanted for her daughter to grow up celebrating holi as much as Halloween, and realised that many new parents today are in the same boat. Rahil (not yet a parent), brought in the Ecommerce angle. Living through the rapid growth in the retail sector as a consumer, and seeing the increasing comfort levels of Indians making purchases online – he was keen to see if this could become a Bewakoof.com for babies.
Moving forward:
Based on the success of this collection, new and exciting designs will launch in a few months! The next collection will have more apparel, bigger sizes, and there are also plans to expand the range to include other kids products.  There are also plans to make this range available worldwide, to reach expat populations wanting to keep a touch of their culture alive while they embrace their new land.
The current range includes Tees, onesies, burp cloths, blankets and gift sets. We are hoping that the range will have a lot more offering in the coming months with sizes available for older kids too, until then I am sure these are going to make way as gifts for many new born babies in the coming months. We would also love Zeezeezoo to add some quirky stuff for expectant and new moms. What will also be important that Zeezeezoo retains the essence of being quirky and does not get into crass or cheeky bollywood lines.
