The pandemic seems like years ago, and the world has become even more fast-paced. The world has become more ruthless and we are all under-pressure struggling to meet deadlines. But why should our kids suffer the repercussions of this too? Why should they be deprived of quality time with their parents?
Whether working or not, most of the time we are preoccupied with our commitments and responsibilities. We take parenting as a job just as we do with other duties required of us. It’s not anyone’s fault, but we are forgetting the true meaning of being parents.
Parenting doesn’t mean bringing up kids the “right way”. Parenting is spending time with the kids the right way.
Dads usually have their silly time with the kids to the fullest. While we moms are more concerned about the critical aspects of parenting.
How Should We Spend Quality Time With Them Then?
We need to have fun with our kids too! Watch some movies (I’d recommend a movie marathon!), do some fun and simple DIYs or crafts, read some books together, sing some songs or have a gooffy story time. There’s is so much you can do with your kids that will truly matter to them. Giving them materialistic things or just asking them 2-3 questions about their day won’t cut it out.
Memories make a bond stronger. So, create more memories and strengthen your bond. Believe me, no materialistic gift is as precious to your kids as your time.
